About Jeff
Jeff has mediated more than 500 cases, drawing on 26 years of litigation and trial experience in personal injury and employment law. As an attorney, he handled more than 1,000 personal injury and wrongful death cases involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, product liability, and dangerous conditions of public property. His employment practice included representing clients in claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, hostile work environment, whistleblower retaliation, and related disputes.
A dedicated member of the legal community, Jeff has served on the boards of several bar associations and holds Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent rating, its highest recognition for both legal ability and ethical standards. In 2022, he joined the Los Angeles Superior Court’s Resolve Law program as a mediator. That experience confirmed something he had sensed for years: mediation was his true calling.
Jeff began his legal career practicing alongside his father, who taught him early on that professionalism and civility are essential to the practice of law. That foundation shapes his work as a mediator today. He approaches every session with patience, empathy, and compassion for all participants, paired with a steady determination to reach resolution, and he believes a positive, respectful, and hopeful process is what gets cases settled.
I always come into mediations with a positive attitude and highly optimistic that the case will be settled. I love to get into the weeds on the issues and make sure everybody is focused on the strengths and weaknesses of their case. I help each party, often through creative negotiation techniques, to test whether the end result they want is possible. It’s important to me that everyone involved feels completely heard and satisfied that all is being done to resolve the case. I’m unrelenting and never give up. I continuously follow up post-mediation until I hear 1) “The case has settled,” 2) “We got a trial verdict,” or 3) “Please leave me alone.” ;)
